A wedding night in the wrong bedroom
My Father’s New Queen swaps modern settings for a royal court. An aging king marries a new wife, and on the wedding night she bypasses the king’s chamber and goes to his son. When the prince helps her out of her gown, a brand on her shoulder suggests she is not what she seems and that she may answer to the enemy. Candy’s cast list names Aubrey Vaughn, and every character is an adult.
The appeal is palace intrigue: secrets, loyalty, a forbidden pull inside one family and a reveal that could cost someone the throne.
The setting shifts the usual Candy Shorts dynamic. Instead of a stepmom in the kitchen, the forbidden element is political: a queen married to the father and drawn to the son, plus a secret that turns the bedroom into a battlefield.
How to watch it
A free Candy account unlocks episodes 1 and 2. Episodes 3 to 5 need Premium, or tokens at 12 per episode. Candy lists 5 episodes in all. Prices are a snapshot and can change, so the checkout price decides.
It streams only through Candy Shorts, part of Candy AI. Candy also says an episode unlocked with tokens is yours forever, with no ads and no waiting, and the player has subtitles in seven languages.
Tone and heat
Think costume drama with a steamy edge. The free episodes concentrate on suspicion and seduction, and the paid ones are bolder. It is not a Spicy title, so it does not belong to the explicit, members-only tier.
Fits if you like
- Royal courts and period settings over contemporary ones.
- Stories where the heat comes with a plot twist.
- A short run: five episodes, no star and no digital twin involved.
If you want a very different kind of period piece, try Cleopatra and Caesar.
