A text from one floor up
Mum Got Sick On Our Holiday opens with a holiday trip that is going sideways. Your wife is unwell and upstairs, and she texts you with one request: keep her daughter company. Harriet, an adult stepdaughter in the cast as Harriet Seagrave, has a very different plan for the evening.
You play the step-dad, which puts you in the most awkward seat in the house. The tension comes from a simple question: can you manage a situation that is getting hotter before your wife comes back downstairs?
The tone
The series plays nervousness as much as desire. The title keeps the British wording, but the setup is universal: a family holiday, a rented place, thin walls and a lot of careful small talk. Everyone in the story is an adult.
It is a standard series, so expect suggestion and close calls up front and a bolder tone in the paid episodes. The fully explicit tier is Candy’s Spicy shelf, which this is not.
Free episodes, then tokens or Premium
Episodes 1 and 2 are free with a free Candy account. From episode 3, you unlock the rest with Premium or tokens, listed at 12 per episode when we looked. Prices are a snapshot, can change, and are confirmed at Candy’s checkout.
The five episodes are exclusive to Candy Shorts, inside Candy AI. If you like to speed through a slow scene, playback runs from 0.5x to 2x.
Who should try it
Viewers who enjoy a ticking clock and a secret that must not leave the room. If you prefer fantasy settings or big plot twists, other series in the catalog will suit you better.
